The purple-pink flowers are complemented by purple-tinged leaves and stems, and followed by flat purple pods. These pods have excellent flavour, perfect for eating fresh or freezing. Dried beans have a rich, nutty flavour.

Sow April to June for harvesting July – September depending on conditions. Can be sown direct in warmer soil in late spring – 2 seeds per cane, 30 cm apart. For best results start in modules to be planted out at the same spacing when about 10 cm tall.
