A garden classic, the ‘Spencer Mix’ is renowned for its large, ruffled flowers and exceptional fragrance. These vigorous annual climbers reach heights of roughly 1.8m with support, making them perfect for covering fences or walls.
Flowering profusely from summer to early autumn, this mix provides a stunning palette of colours, ranging from delicate creams and light pinks to rich mauves and deep purples. With their long stems, they are the ideal variety for cutting.

For autumn sowing, 3 seeds per 3″ pot in good compost. Starting indoors (20-25°C) will aid germination. Once germinated, sweet peas will grow on in cooler conditions and overwinter in a cold frame or greenhouse.
Spring sowings can be made outdoors directly into drills at a depth of 2-3 cm. Pinch out the growing points of each stem to encourage bushier growth.
