A beautiful looking climbing bean with a slight red stripe and a great flavour. They originate from the Rouen area of France in the 1950’s, a vigorous ex-commercial variety with delicate white flowers. Super versatile to cook with green beans make great additions to curries, stews, salads and gluts can be canned or frozen for greens all year round.

Botanical name: Phaseolus vulgaris
Sow April to June for harvesting July – September depending on conditions. Can be sown direct in warmer soil in late spring – 2 seeds per cane, 30 cm apart. For best results start in modules to be planted out at the same spacing when about 10 cm tall.
