A brilliant dwarf pea that grows to around 50cm so doesn’t require supports. Meteor can be sown in autumn for an early spring harvest of full pods of delicious peas. It’s also suitable for spring sowing.
For a really early crop in spring, meteor peas can be sown in Oct-Nov. Otherwise they can be sown from Mar-Apr for Summer/Autumn harvest. Direct sow into the ground at about 2.5cm depth and around 4cm between seeds in lines 45cm apart. Thin if necessary when they germinate. The young shoots are great in salads too.
