An Italian heritage variety that forms pretty green, red-tipped leaves in frilly rosettes. The crisp and tasty leaves can be harvested as cut and come again salads or the plants can be left to form large heads. Lattughino is a hardy variety and is sown in late summer or autumn to be harvested all through the winter.

Botanical name: Lactuca sativa
Sow in September direct outdoors or in a seed tray for undercover use. These seedlings then need to be pricked out into modules for planting in an unheated greenhouse bed in October.
