An aromatic culinary herb that people either love or hate! For those that love it, it’s a luxury to have an abundance or fragrant leaves to pick for curries, salsas and soups.
Harvest regularly to maximise leaf production. For a steady supply, sow in succession between March and August. As well as eating the leaf, you can let the plants eventually go to flower and harvest the seed once dry & brown as the well known curry spice.
Approx. 600 seeds per pack.
Botanical name: Lactuca sativa
Sow direct outside from May in drills 1 cm deep and approx. 30 cm between rows. Or sow in modules or small pots (can multisow) from March and transplant out once weather has warmed up. Also worth sowing in September if you have covered growing space for a continuous supply over winter.
