Maxi is a modern early cropping cultivar, producing long stringless beans of good flavour. Easy cropping as the beans are held above the plants. Robust and reliable, popular with organic growers. It can benefit from support during cropping period due to the weight of the beans.
Tolerant to BMV 1 (Bean Mosaic Virus) and poor weather. Sow successionally to prolong your harvesting season – dwarf French beans are really easy to grow, delicious and nutritious.
In our 2023 mini trial of dwarf French beans Maxi began cropping about 5 days earlier than Cupidon and Nassau.
Maxi was bred by growers affiliated with Kultursaat, the European plant breeding non-profit charity dedicated to breeding new varieties of open-pollinated vegetable crops specifically for organic and biodynamic farming systems.
Approx. 50 seeds.
