This compact bushy annual is mixed single and double flowers with deeply divided leaves. Tagetes is a great companion plant with the leaves and roots keeping down whitefly numbers, so they are great to grow under your cordon tomatoes in the greenhouse. The roots also produce a secretion which deters harmful nematodes. These long flowering plants are very attractive to pollination insects. Grow in full sun in pots or borders.
Approx. 100 seeds
Botanical name: Tagetes patula
Sow from March to April in pots or trays in a greenhouse or on a window ledge. Prick out and grow on, hardening off before planting out.
