Awyr Binc (Pink Sky) Poppy

This is a stunningly beautiful poppy whose origins are unknown as it simply appeared on Carolyn’s growing site a few years ago, and has made itself at home ever since. It will reach about 5ft in height and grows well both indoors and out, self seeding each year, so you only need to sow it once. Poppies can be rather fussy in terms of germination, so may need a period of ‘winter’ before they know it’s spring and hence time to germinate. You can either do this by sowing in the autumn, or by simulating winter conditions by exposing the damp seed to a period of cold before sowing in the spring.
