This is a delicious soup pea originating from the Clydach Valley in Wales. A vigorous and productive plant growing up to 6 ft with smooth yellowy green seeds. You can eat these as fresh peas, mangetout or as a dried pea for soups and they make the best mushy peas!

Botanical name: Pisum Sativum
Sow March – May for harvesting August – September depending on conditions. Either sow direct if soil warmed up later in spring – each seed approx. 3 cm apart in 2-3 rows either side of a support netting, or into modules to be planted out at the same spacing when approx. 5 cm tall.
